Terms of Service
EntrepreJee Last updated: [date]
1. Who we are
EntrepreJee is operated by [Company Legal Name] ("EntrepreJee", "we", "us"), business ID (Y-tunnus) [0000000-0], registered address [Street, Postal Code, City, Finland], contact: [support@entreprejee.com]. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the EntrepreJee application (the "Service").
2. Acceptance of these Terms
By creating an account you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service. If you are registering on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you confirm you have the authority to bind that entity, and "you" refers to that entity.
3. Who can use the Service
The Service is intended for sole traders, freelancers, and small businesses acting in a business, trade, or professional capacity. It is not intended for consumers acting outside such a capacity, and the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (Kuluttajansuojalaki, 38/1978) provisions on consumer contracts do not apply to your use of the Service. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to register.
4. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [support@entreprejee.com] if you suspect unauthorized use. You must provide accurate business information (name, VAT/business ID, address, country, currency, language) and keep it up to date, as this data is used to generate invoices, VAT reports, and other documents on your behalf.
5. The Service
EntrepreJee provides tools for invoicing, quotes, customer/product management, time tracking, expense recording, VAT/ALV reporting, and related business-administration features, as described on our pricing page. We may add, change, or remove features from time to time. Some features are limited or unlocked depending on your subscription plan.
6. Fees and payment
Certain plans are paid subscriptions or pay-per-use, as described on our Pricing page, billed in EUR. Fees are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise; VAT will be added where applicable under Finnish/EU law. Subscription fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law. We may change our fees with at least 30 days' notice; continued use after a fee change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new fee.
(As of this draft, no online payment processor is connected yet — plan changes do not currently charge a card. This section should be revisited once billing is wired up, see section 6 of the Privacy Policy.)
7. Your content and data
You retain all rights to the business data you input into the Service (customer records, invoices, financial data, documents, etc.) ("Your Data"). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display Your Data solely to provide and improve the Service. You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, and completeness of Your Data, including the accuracy of any invoices, VAT calculations, or financial reports generated from it — EntrepreJee is a tool, not a substitute for professional accounting or tax advice.
In particular, you are solely responsible for:
- complying with all applicable laws relating to your business;
- maintaining accurate accounting, tax, and VAT records;
- ensuring that invoices generated through the Service comply with applicable legislation;
- ensuring that all personal data uploaded to the Service is processed lawfully; and
- obtaining all required consents, or otherwise having a lawful basis under applicable data protection law, for any personal data you upload.
8. No professional advice
The Service is a software tool only and does not constitute legal, accounting, tax, or financial advice. You are solely responsible for verifying all calculations, invoices, reports, and tax filings before relying on or submitting them.
9. Artificial intelligence features
Certain features of the Service may use artificial intelligence. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies and must always be reviewed by you before use.
10. Backups and data export
You are encouraged to maintain independent backups of important business information. We do not guarantee recovery of deleted data beyond our documented backup procedures. You may export Your Data in the formats supported by the Service before terminating your subscription.
11. Data protection
We process personal data (yours and, where applicable, your customers' data you input) in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679) and Finnish data protection law, as further described in our Privacy Policy. Where you input personal data belonging to third parties (e.g. your customers), you act as the data controller for that data and we act as your data processor under the terms of our Data Processing Agreement; you are responsible for having a lawful basis to process that data and for fulfilling your own obligations toward your customers as data subjects.
12. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service for any unlawful purpose; upload malicious code; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data; interfere with or disrupt the Service's operation; or use the Service to generate fraudulent invoices or documents. Our Acceptable Use Policy sets out further examples of prohibited uses and how we enforce this section. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
13. Intellectual property
The Service, its software, design, and branding are the property of EntrepreJee or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you, other than the limited right to use the Service as intended.
14. Service availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, and may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. We are not liable for any unavailability caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
15. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Finnish law, EntrepreJee's total liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data, except in cases of gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or where liability cannot be limited under mandatory Finnish or EU law (e.g. death or personal injury, fraud).
16. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via account settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible — in particular, if you: break the law; use the Service for scams or fraud; distribute malware; send spam; or violate the Service's security (see Section 12, Acceptable use). Upon termination, we will retain Your Data only as long as necessary for legal/bookkeeping obligations (see the Finnish Bookkeeping Act retention periods, section 7 of the Privacy Policy) or as described in our Privacy Policy, after which it will be deleted.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you (e.g. by email or in-app notice) at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Helsinki District Court (Helsingin käräjäoikeus), unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
19. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to [support@entreprejee.com].
This is a generic starting template, not legal advice. Have a qualified Finnish/EU lawyer review it before publishing — particularly the liability limitation, consumer-vs-business scope (section 3), and data processing terms (section 11), which carry real legal risk if wrong for how you actually operate.
